Enviroschools takes a whole school approach to environmental education. Students develop skills, understanding, knowledge and confidence through planning, designing and creating a sustainable school. Action projects undertaken by enviroschools have both environmental and educational outcomes that benefit the school and the wider community e.g. designing/creating our children's garden. |
East Otago Schools Sports Day at the Edgar Centre![]() Every year primary school children in years 4-8 from several East Otago schools join in for a fun sports day at the Edgar Centre. The students get to try many different sports on offer including table tennis, gymnastics, rugby, soccer, tennis, softball and volleyball. Participating schools include Purakanui, Warrington, Karitane, Flag Swamp, Macraes Moonlight, Waikouaiti and Palmerston. |
